AMP takes green scrap (purchased by AMP or the customer's product) and processes it back into six different MPIF STD 35 grades:  F-0005, F-0008, FC-0205, FC-0208, FN-0205, and FN-0208. The process consists of:

• Grinding the green parts into powder
• Screening the powder to remove any oversize particles
• Magnetically separating the powder (removing copper)
• Blend material
• Test properties and composition of blend
• Adjusting composition into one of the six MPIF grades
• Retesting all properties and creating a certificate of analysis
